I found this poster to be both inspiring and interesting because the sentence itself in the poster is illustrated in the sub-designs. Typography by definition is the art of arranging type to make written characters more appealing. This poster cleverly states that idea and highlights the different techniques through color contrasts and different strokes. Doing so allows the poster to go past the written text and further explain the varying methods inherent to typography.
I thought holistically this poster design was very clever. The use of positive and negative space creates a unified object with a sink on top and the upside-down umbrella shape below. This attachment helps to portray the title and message of the poster in a very straightforward and simple manner. With the use of minimal colors, the contrast and the faded background make the text and image both very appealing and legible.
